REMOVE THE ASSEMBLY, EASIER IF YOU TAKE OFF SEAT.
just loosen the back nuts on the j bolts ,that will give you enough room.it is a pain in the
just to change a bulb or two.

When I tried to remove the nuts on the sides of the assembly the left side bolt striped out. So now I cant get it to come off. I will drive it for a wile and see if I have any other problems with it, then I will take it back to my dealer and have them fix it...

Mine did the same thing, right side. I used a small screw driver to put tension on bottom of nut and slowly worked the nutt off. When I re-attached the unit I used emblem glue and glued in the bolt. I hope it stays attached.
penatrating oil every where!pb blaster does wonders on these things ,corrosion is everywhere.

No Chit green, moron. 1.5 hours to change the fricking oil the first time. I am thinking that $160 oil filter relocation kit is not a bad idea.

You need to remove the rear exhaust tips, then the rear plastic shroud then the j-hooks, then the seat will come off to get to the bulbs but you will still have to pull the heat shield on the taillight assembly too....have you seen the Exhaust install in the Tech Section???
