Looking at ordering new handlebars but would like a little bit higher. I was wondering does anyone know how high I can go without extending anything? I'm looking at using the stock riser setup and not sure if these handlebars (picture below and the set to the right) are measured with an extra 4 inches from a stock set or there 4 inches from the bottom. They come in 2,4, and 6 inch rise I'd like to go with the 4 inch if possible but if they won't fit I'll get the 2 inch.

Everyone else (Pro-Taper, FLY, etc) measures the rise from where the bar attaches. So the 4" rise should be 4" from the grip to the clamp. Look at this diagram from ProTaper, should make sense. http://www.protaper.com/products/handlebars/se
Those are the exact bars I am looking at too! Need to get some aftermarket bar ends too (hooks). Someone else should chime in on max rise without extending cables, I can't say for sure

I went 3" and thought that was as much as I could get with out re routing everything and even then I don't know if you could get more or not.

2X. I've got 2.5" and I think you would need extensions for more that 3".

Is that a 3 inch riser with the stock bars? Stock bars have at least a 1 inch rise which would make it 4 total. So I assume the 4 inch rise bars should fit.?

Good point. I was forgetting the stock bar had a rise. So mine would be stock bar plus 2.5" so 3.5" from the stock riser to the grips. I think 4" would work.

Those RSI are a 10* pullback, does anyone know what the stock bars are?

Make sure you all post pix. I would like to bring my bar up a little as well.

To the few who have been waiting to see if these fit I am hoping to have them tomorrow. Thanks to the weather there has been a delay in shipping. I did re-route a few wires today not by much but seems to have plenty of play for the new bars. Update coming tomorrow with pictures as long as I get them.

Well the new bars are in!! Never wasted any time and put them on! They fit great and are the perfect height for me. Did not need to extend anything for those wondering. Here are a few pictures I still have to put the heaters on and grips just ran out of time for the afternoon.

Damn looks awesome. I had considered some other brands but that looks nice! How is the pullback compared to stock?

They do look good! I don't necessarily need taller but I would really prefer a wider set.
