Tank bag, luggage rack & rear (3 compt) bag - use tank bag for gloves, chord for heated visor, towel etc., and also my maps. Use center compartment on rear for first aid kit and towing strap (to tow my friends Doo). The map tank bag does not take away from the appearance, but the luggage rack & back bags - while looking somewhat "conservative" - provides much needed storage space and is very functional.

Yea, that comes from a slight boo-boo my first season. I want to either find a blue hood or paint this one Yamaha blue to match. And there is a local place that does powdercoating, so I'm going to have him do all the skid parts in blue at some point, or else I'll get the kit and do it myself, but for now, I just want to ride it. Same for the slides...I left the orange while I was testing the Cat skid to make sure I like it, now as soon as they show a little more wear they'll be replaced with blue or black.
For the tank bag, yea, it scratches the hell out of the tank cover. I'm not about style, and I know this sled will always have the tank bag on it when riding (its off in the pic because I removed it when I did my exhaust), so I don't worry about it. If its a problem, watch ebay, and pick up a used tank cover...they usually sell for around $20-30 on there. Use that one and let it get scratched, then when you want to sell the sled put the original back on.
