TD Powertrail CAI PSI?

not surprised at all that your seeing 17 on that map. 3" hyperflow flows very well, Turbo smart BOV does not leak. And your 3 bar sensor allowing you to read boost past the stock sensors limitations.
OK so if I get TD PT next year and 3 bar map sensor and TS bov, with my 3" sandale w/CAI I could see 17psi,thats what I want, can I also run on 91 fuel?

Oh, I have the Turbosmart BOV. The jukebox tunes I got are for that and the 3bar. And yeah, 17 psi from PT has me puzzled.
17psi does it pull very hard to a good top end,it sounds like its better than max 16.

I trail ride the TD Max Spool 17 with TD CAI, TD Turbo Force muffler, Turbo Smart BOV, & GAP 3 Bar MAP sensor. I used to think that I needed 93 octane & a half can (16 oz) of Torco but I have been fine with 91 octane and a half can of Torco for trail riding.

I suspect that I could get by with straight good quality 91 octane fuel if I trail rode with no long full throttle pulls but I put the Torco in just to be safe and it is easy to carry a can in my tunnel bag.

The key thing here is to get fresh quality fuel. Trail riding with short bursts of full throttle requires less octane than long full throttle lake pulls. You will be fine with good fresh 91 octane fuel when trail riding TD PT.

With this same set up I can hold it WOT as long as I have room with no knock on 91. I'm sure it'd be tolerant of lesser octane for short periods.

Man I am so temted to try the max 17,but just cant trust fuel anymore, now that my good fuel station had filled my tank with over a gallon of water, when my boy and I fueled there last weekend,on there 93,i have run there fuel for the last 5 years with great results, but it only takes one time to mess things up. Thanks for this info blue dave.

Good to know Beerman, does this tune with our cai and muffler run good top speed?

Is 126 mph on not-ideal conditions "good"? I sure think so. I've never had the opp to hold it open in good conditions longer than that, but it was still pulling when I let off.

The knock detection works so well you don’t have to fear engine damage. If you see the light flash you back off. Even if you didn’t back off the TD tune does it for you to protect the engine.

If you have the flasher on your sled and a selection of tunes in your jukebox then you can use your phone to pick a lower octane tune if you get some crappy fuel that is causing the knock or simply reduce throttle until you refill with better fuel.

Did not realize that the knock light function also triggers a safety mode in ECU also!
Great info.

No jukebox, but like said,if knock does happen, drive normal,or much slower till better fuel is put in.

Ha, for me it would be Drive abnormal!
Well ya,i was trying to sound normal, but do you know how hard that is dennis?? Hey where can I buy the 3 bar map sensor,i have looked on TD,s site w/no luck, and how pricy is it?

Give them a call Pete. They must sell the 3 bar sensor???? 10% sale going on as of today.

I was thinking about my Dalton clutch kit that I talked about getting next year.

Turbo Dynamics sells the 3 bar MAP sensor. I had to call TD because I also did not see it on their website. I can't find the receipt now but I recall it being a bit more than $100?
