Team Industries Clutch

If you want explosive backshift your giving up some acceleration. You can,t have both. clutching is a compromise.

Turk, is it still your opinion that Drag & Fly's is the best value for clutch performance improvement? I am looking to do something this season to my 2008 rtx and you seemed excited about this kit last year. Thx

I got a little better performance from he 38/20 2 speeds but there is a lot less potential hazards to use the drag n fly weights. The drag n fly with the stock secondary works great in a Nytro for trail & lining up against your buds.

The backshift on stock yamaha clutching sucks so bad I wouldnt care if the team kit accelerated the same as stock as long as it backshifts.

So you have some time on the tied clutch????

I've noticed that YAM'S secondary bushings tend to wear fairly quick and BIND causing poor backshifting, specialy if you lock-up your track coming a cormer then hit the flipper and all she does is BOG...bushings are shot! also keep a close eye on your BOTTONS, I keep mine in top shape and works great.

There has been quite a bit of press this year on the Team Tied Driven Clutch.
Anyone going to test it on a Nytro this year?

it's a whole clutch kit..primary too right?

do you have to run a different belt..?

if you dont mind me asking...what kind of coin?

If he's getting the team kit for the nytro I dont believe its the TIED secondary, that was just recently released. Hes probaly getting the kit we talked about on this forum last year. It comes with new secondary, new jackshaft, primary weights and a primary spring. Its around $725 plus you should get an alignment bar for the team cluch and its $50ish. It uses the same belt.

$750 shipped for the complete kit, jackshaft, tied secondary, low altitude helix, primary weights and springs. I'm going to give it a go and see if it works as great as they say it will. They say that it will give as good or better acceleration, way better backshift and as much as 10% increase in top speed. I'll tell you better when we get some snow. I have a buddy with the same machine (XTX) running Drag N Flys, should be a good comparison.

You really should order an alignment bar for that secondary as well. They dont include it in the kit for some reason but the guy I spoke to last year at Team said I should get one and Ulmer had mentioned it last year as well in one of his posts. I will guarantee that your sled will be wayyy funner to ride with this setup than your buddies will.
