I'm trying something new this year, actually I'm a bit behind everyone else as far as mods go. I'm running a Bender '03 setup - *48/34 ~ 46/34 w/Red & Dk. Blue + HH's and I'm only seeing about 116 speedo.
I talked to TEAM, and they recommended another helix, and/or spring to try - I'll try the spring, but I want to know what others are getting for Top-end in similar conditions, and if it's worth the extra $100+ and the time to keep working with the TEAM?
Don't get me wrong, the back-shifting is awesome on these clutches, and I don't have that annnoying dog-squeel after I lock the track either. Tight and twisty is one thing, but I saw better overall results with the stocker - when the buttons didn't disintegrate on it.
Thanks

run a red gray 125 175 spring and their washer that stops coil bind. run hh with half in the heel 3/8 with thin washer in the middle and 3/8 in the tip if still not top ending add a little to the tip . These are with 48 gram base hh,s. The 46/34 should work but I have had better luck with the straight angle helixs. I have bought 3 different helixs reccommended by team and they are all in the drawer. Team is caught up in the sno-cross helixs and as far as Im concerned dont have a clue to trail riding. I bought an adjustable helix from shockwave for testing different angles on the team and the vectors and the rx1 like the shallower angles better 37 degrees on the vector over 120 mph on top-end. Email me 4 fighter I will help you get the team going. Making a trip to kenton on the 18 or 19 be gong for a few days. Woodtic

PM'd ya Woodtic. I hate WAITING for parts (Poo shop doesn't have anything & wants $15 to change a spring), so I'm going to try a few things on the primary end, and then put some new buttons on my Yammie clutch and try that in the mean-time.

1/4 bolt needed to remove belt, waaay to much tension in that team sec. For top end you need a sec. with just enough tension to prevent belt slippage. like stock clutching with 30-50 degrees of tension for best top end on ice kicks butt in my opinion. 23/40 gearing 200 ft. elev. 10 `F stock air box faster for me MY 2 CENTS all stock primary with oso spring.

I just changed mine from 50 to 70 degrees (buddies advice) with stock clutching but theres no snow and have not had an opprotunity to try it yet. Sounds like way too much tension in the secondary and will go back to 50 degrees which I found to be very good overall.

run mine at 50 awsome. by going to 70 you will lose aprx. 15-20 mph top end. but lots of backshift power.
