Temp light

I know the temp light flashes during start up until the engine reaches a certain temp. Does this same light come on during an over heat condition and is there any automatic rev limiting that occurs during an overheat?

The light will flash when the temp is at a point that it needs to be lowered ie: find some powder to cool the exchangers.When its extremely hot the lamp will light solid if it is not cooled asap the ecu will shut off the engine to prevent dammage.
