Just picked up a tether cord for my 05 RX-MTN. no instructions with it.
What wires do I splice into for it to work? Colors and location.

I have mine hooked into the red wire with a yellow stripe that is in the harness that is plugged into the ignition switch. Also it takes a tether switch that is normally closed where most two strokes take one that is normally open. I used one that is made for some models of arctic cat that you can get from most aftermarket parts retailers, Ken.

Just check it with a meter. It needs to be able to have continuity or juice going through it when the tether is plugged in to it. When you pull the cap off it opens the circuit and no power to the ignition, Ken.
