First off I just want to say thank you all for your help. Over the years I have found this site to be very helpfull and friendly. I am not going to mention to many other sites but this and johndee I hit all the time. I really like my doo's also but don't care much for there site, to much bickering on there. And this also leads me to a question, I am gunna change my oil next weekend and noticed when I took my side cover off that the coolant is a little low, might change that also not sure on that and I know I am supposed to be a 60/40 mix but my question is what brand to use?? I haven't found a link on this site (even thought I am sure there is one) as to what type?? Looks like prestone is in there (at least it is green).

Thanks,
Doug

Brand isnt really that crucial, just as long as you get the desired antifreeze/water ratio. Also, my resivoir on both the RX-1 and Apex always looked low. You can fill it back to the indicator line, but the system will most likely spit out what it will not use. If you are not running a rear cooler, you may consider adding a product called water wetter. It is a super slippery additive for your cooling system that works extremely well and reduces overall operating temps by a noticiable amount.

I run Water Wetter in everything I have. It's made by Redline and is available at most major auto parts stores.

I also add redline water wetter. I posted a good read in an earlier link on how it really helps cool down running temps.
Remove fluid & add 1/2 bottle to coolant tank.

I was looking to link that Turk, it was a good write up. I have used water wetter since the 1994 Mach Z with the weak cooling systems

Thank you all. I didn't even think about the water wetter. I used that in my chevy truck that I put a few extra squirls under the hood.
