Have a stock 06 ER, from a stop at WOT it goes straight to 10,900 to 11,000 and stays there, is this okay or should I think about adding a clutch kit to bring this down a little. I am reading here that it should come in around 10,500 and climb to 10,800 or so. Just to add I am getting GPS speeds of 162KM/H on hard pack and 173KM/H on ice.

Also is it worth switching to 25T top gear, stock is 24/38 right? I don't mind having less bottom end pull if I could gain some top.

Thanks!!

To pull that 25 you need Ice pack roads and 10700 to 10800 rpm WOT.
In any snow you wont pull it to the top you will actually loss a lot.Best all around is 23/38.long track and 24/38 shorty.Unless you are packing a lot more HP then stock.

okay thanks, sounds like I can't do much more without adding HP, I don't want to drop speed on the snow covered lake.
