Finally got to run my(wifes'...gotta try to remember that) new RX-1.
For 2 months all my cat buddies been giving me all these 1 ton jokes, etc.
Then it was why in the world would you paint over that nice red paint?...
Just got it all back together in metallic orange...awsome.
I spent 2 days jetting and box /filter mods ,clutching,etc,...but it now works real good,I'll be tuning for a while yet but getting close. On Sunday it could run pretty much anything but a few new mach's that I've been working with,...and a few HOT big cat tripples(I have one of them in the shed to play with those guys).

The fun part is everyone seems to think these things are a slug.

It goes like this..."wanna run that big orange thing?"....run them?...nah,I dont know ..this is my wifes four stroke.. they are not really for racing,I think this thing weighs like 700 lbs doesn't it...well ,ok,lets try em....

had a blast...I'm not expecting the world, but want to find a bit more.It will now outrun a lot of good machines.
This is more fun than beating piped banshees with a polaris scrambler, lol.(I have both).

To me porting and cams is a blast.

Sounds really good..

I know my warrior will run with the best of them... ITs others that dont..

You bet,a lot of people don't realize the potential of these sleds.I was whomping a big bored 900 twin cat just for fun. There was a new Mach Z with ice pics that I had my hands full with ,but time will tell.

Alot of people simply have assumptions of the RX, based on the first 03's in a drag race, like that's the only measure of the sled. The 03s had alot of improvements that people could make, and the 04s and 05s are better still and run with most anything. But simply using that as a measure, too many write off the sled, without even trying it. The motor is the secret. It's what makes the sled so great. I love the sound, the pull, the torque, the economy, the quietness, the clean smell, all of it. The sled has a nature all it's own. My 05, with just a few tweaks will run with Fusions, F7s, Rev8s, and win more races than it loses. Then when we come to the pumps, I'm using just a bit more than half the gas they use, plus no oil. And while I'm riding, I have this expensive precision mechanical hp making noises that I get treated to. I have a ton of power at 4-5 thousand rs, and I can still scream it to over 10 thousand. I love all sleds, don't get me wrong, but get on a Firecat and tell me the two are remotely comparable for a trail rider. They're moving all over the seat trying to keep the thing planted, peaky motor screaming all the time. I'm going the same speed, but cruising effortlessly. Do I want to take it on a snocross track? No, but I don't want to take a Firecat on a 795 mile saddlebag trip either.

Here it is....
