pockets,

you just modify or buy a rear bumper & buy a longer piece of aluminum for the tunnel & fab it up yourself

in other words, yes.

The ending after a spindle broke, I now believe in a Tek Vest after seeing him slam the trail

got her done and was able to play around in the yard a bit today before the xmas needs took over. cant wait to see what she is like on the trails and ditches.

And no pictures of it installed?

Sorry, I typed that up from my phone while sitting in the hot tub last night. It was having issues with photobucket so I gave up. I didnt realize I actually posted it.

I ended up picking up a second skid for a good price since I needed over $100 in replacement hardware for my skid:

Cosmetically, I think it will look 100x better when I get around to powder coating everything, but Im happy with it for now. I cant yet comment on the functionality, as it havent had it out for a real ride yet. However, based on the short play time I was able to get, I have a feeling she is going to be a blast in the drifted over ditches that I have to ride in order to get to my friends place.

you think that bumper will be strong enough to lift/pull on with out any gussets or bracing??

sled looks awesome btw!

yeah it was. I had the machine hanging in the air by it overnight even.

I say it was, because I sold the phazer last night... I didnt even get to ride it more than a couple hundred feet with the stretch!

You must have got a good amount for it too give it up so quickly.

When you wired in your HID's did you use shudder style bulbs for high/low operation? I put in HIDs but they are the bulbs without shudders so they're on high all the time. I was thinking of running one bulb then when switching to high turn on the second.

I used the kit from DDM, which had high/low operation. I've had the same ones in my Apex now for close to 2K miles with no issues at all.

Just noticed your signature line DF ... Congrats on the new sled! Love the "Blue-on-Black" look ;)! Be sure to post pics when you get it ... I'm guessing you'll be heading out to spots with better conditions than what we have locally (I know I would), so please post a ride report with trail conditions (and include pics) too. :sled1:

Oh that is a nice lookin' sled. Whadda ya think so far? Happy with it? No buyer's remorse coming off the Apex?

I think you'll find it's a very good compromise between your last two sleds, but I am curious to hear what you think of her.

I've only got 35 miles on her thus far, so I cant comment on how I like it compared to the other two machines as Im still in the honeymoon phase.

As of now, ZERO regrets!
