I've been reading about the yamacharger since it came out and I think it would be perfect for me. I just need a little more than 150hp, but don't want the headaches associated with a full size SC or turbo (Ive had 2 turbo RX's and had lots and lots of headaches). I have been riding 150hp class sleds for 8 years now and I need something a little more.... However, after all the $$$ I spent on my last turbo RX-1 I promised my wife I would never do that again, now she is dead set against modding ANY sled. ( I have an extensive history of modding sleds and blowing motors and breaking associated items and costing myslef a ton of cash..)

Well today she came to me and said she needs $3000 by tomorrow so she can start her last semester at Clarkson.... BINGO!! Now I have some leverage, as long as Im giving her three grand, how about I pull out 2 grand myself for a new "air box" for my sled... Well she is still against it but I think by the end of today, when Im paying for her semester, I'll have her on my side... Pray with me fellas... I think I've almost got her where I want here.. The kids have all they could ever want or need, all the school shopping is done, cupboards are full of food and both vehicles are running good... If nothing takes my money away from me this time, I'll have a yamacharger. Here goes

Go for it. I've been think about get one but would like to ride one first.

I was thinking that too. I really wanted to ride one and see if it felt like it was actually worth the two grand but I have been reading and reading on this site and others and the only negative opinion I have found on them came from the mountain guys who said it didn't produce much power at elevation. But I don't change elevation much. Im at a constant 1500-2000 ft and I ride almost all flat groomed trails and lakes, I don't boondock and I don't care about powder riding or hill climbing so I think it will work good for me. All the flat landers seam to be very happy with the yamacharger.....

get the proper clutch kit for it as well, tried one on a attack it definately makes a difference on top, mid range not so noticable, and low end is about the same as stock

kviper, I've read alot of your posts, you have been nothing but happy with the kit, right???

As i have stated before i did go through some of the growing pain's but i am convinced that G-Force has everything worked out as of the end of last season. Like anything new you have to expect that. The good thing about being the Ginnie pig is it was G-Force and they were excellent to work with and i know the system very well because if it. Bottom line the kit performed exactly as they guaranteed and is a plug and play kit. There are some gain's to be made with a PC-111 and ignition module but it is not necessary. I did run premium in it all season but i did not concern myself with fuel and would have run 87 octane if 91 was not available,I would have just not done any long hard pull's even though it would have probably been fine. It is a solid 20 extra HP with out the BS. That all being said, Yes i am happy with it!! kviper

Just ordered the complete kit from Ulmer Racing. As well as a 13mm rod. Should be shipped sometime next week so then just wait for snow to see the difference.
