i'm thinking of getting a used phazer in the fall for my wife after i sell my viper. any year i should stay away from? what should i look for?

The Phazer is in a class of its own. If your an old fart and care about vibration, dont get one. If you enjoy ridng hard and ditch banging, get one.

Only thing to be carefull about is the 07 have updates that need to be done. Your dealer can tell you if they have or not.

i think a phazer will be good for her, plus i can have some fun with it. hehe. she doesn't care about hp and used phazers are pretty affordable for me

yes. just replace the skies if you want better handling. and play around with it foryour type of riding. i got new nytro mtx skies and a 1.5 track and i love my sled. keeps up with most and tourque when i need it. check the control arm in the suspension, and check all the holes in the rails. make sure their not getting rounded out. make sure the steering isnt too loose or you may need to tighten up the bolts when you have it in the shop. check tunnel close off. spindle issues ive heard of but never had happen to me. and just ask your dealer about updates.

x2, mx1500.

you'll definantly have some fun & maybe even surprised a little on what you can do with it after some seat time.
the fx's & rtx's have the better shocks. otherwise yami hasn't changed much over the years on these rides.

i was thinking of a gt for trail riding? not the way to go? they are a blast, i demo rode one when they came out in 07 at my dealer and loved it

get the gt for the wife, dont get a base model phazer from 2007,they didnt have the wiring harness for the fan,my wife has logged 11000 miles on her 07 gt so far,all the updates were performed, awesome little sled, stuff i had to replace since new,2 upper idler wheels and 1 relay, that's it,i still cant beleive it,i know its not that much mileage but there isnt that many high miles phazers,so will see how long she lasts

Totaled out an 07 currently runnin an 08 GT no complaints the track's longevity isnt exactally fantastic id prefer the Ripsaw to the Hacksaw but other than that I love my sled

Skins Ultra Q silencer - Ultra-Plate - Schmidt Bros Fuel Regulator

by the control arm i mean check the top for cracks where the 2 tubes meet. ive replaced track, skies, bogey wheels the bearings where shot, both rails, control arm, and bought a speedo bracket so if i flip it the $500 speedo doesnt break. and have a hauck single pipe. its pretty loud but we live in the country so noone really cares. but once you learn how to ride this baby shes a fun sled
