Well, now he has the part number for the 08 to proove it! I say go pound the crap out of that thing and bring it back and get the new arm. I'm sure they figure MOST guys don't ride so darn hard...but some do. I'm past the point of trying to thrash over 3 foot mogols. I don't even ride weekends anymore...it's just not fun fearing whats around every corner and thrashing thru crap trails. My 05 Mono has 6500 miles on it and nothing broke but the original rails. Those were replaced with the 06 updated rails and they have been fine since. Then again...I do ride Sunday eve thru Friday AM only now.

He called me a few hours ago and told me he decided to take it for a ride. Incredibly the weight transfer rod broke on the very first ride after waiting since December for exhaust y-pipes and suspension to be repaired. The pivot arm is still fine, but his track is shredded a bit (on the inside) and he needs the weight transfer rod now.
He headed off today with one of the groups that I normally ride with into Northern Quebec for a 4-day trip on the REV-XP (I can't join them this time). His Apex is parked at home. He isn't exactly impressed with his Apex at the moment...

Had on 03 RX-1 for about 10K. Now have an 07 Apex, ran this about 2500 miles. You won't be disappointed with the performance of the Apex, much better riding position, the only thing needed is new carbides, no hyfax wear to speak of.
