I've read some posts where some guys are thinking about jumping ship for another brand,mostly new fourstrokes from ski-doo and cat. I've been jumping between yamaha and cat for the last 20 years.Each sled i liked for different reasons, but never have i got rid of one because i hated it.I think i can speak for most of you guys in saying after about 3 years with any particular model you start thinking about something else.Its just natural to get a little bored with the same sled after so long.It could be the best sled you've ever had, doesnt make a difference.It would be nice to stick with one brand forever but that is unlikely.I think the manufacturers need to realize this and at least make some small changes to a sled like the apex to keep the customer interested.I'm sure they could of coax another 10 horse out of the moter,maybe mess with front end geometry,and put some version of nytro skid in the rear.I wouldnt think that would brake the bank at yamaha.But they did'nt and thats the way it is.So for you guys thinking about switching i say GO FOR IT. Its not a rip on yamaha,just a need for a change.I personaly am only on year one on my apex and plan to keep it for awhile,just love it.But i could see if i had it from 06 till now i might be thinking of something else. I only askif anyone does switch,come back to this site once in awhile to give us an accurate opinion on their new sled compared to the apex.Who better to do this than someone from this site.So good luck and keep in touch.
