So,I finally got to take a ride on my 15LTX -DX,rode 90 miles just off the south side of tug hill,my last sled was a SKI DOO XR1200 rennagade with mbrp header and can,PCV ,PB80 primary, and Cudney secondary, the sled was the best sled I have ever owned, fast, smooth, handled really good, never let me down reliability wise ,and I was afraid that I may have gone backwards before riding the viper.
All my fears were wiped away with in the first 10 miles, this sled rode just as good if not better then my Doo,gave the feeling that It was way lighter than it is,I have had a Warrior ,attack, and a NYTRO,and this machine felt sooooo much better than any of the sleds I have mentioned ,my RPMs started the day at 8450 and by days end I was seeing 8700,and could feel it getting stronger.i am using the 8dn,clutching was ok for a stock set up,have all the pieces for the clutching on the cheap kit, just want to break it in first before I start messing with that. Now here is where I feel the biggest difference ,the handling was fantastic !! I have a set of Curve skis mounted up with 6 in shapers from last year with some miles on them, and this thing just railed, not a hint of push,I could put the viper where ever I wanted and it just stuck held its line and tracked with out any movement, rode my buddies 14 LTX DX with C&A pros and the first thing we both said to each other was how much different the to skis were, the steering effort was so much lighter with the Curves,he said he was gonna get a set,was on the fence but one ride pushed him over, next time out I will have new carbides and studs, will see if anything changes, did not have any issues with hot start or belt dust or stiff suspension or any of the stuff that was making me question my choice to buy this sled, so for right now I love this machine!!

Ps ,the 14 LTX DX had the Excell exhaust and air box set up and I see this in my future to,very responsive ,the butt dyno told me there was more going on under the hood, but when we lined the up,there were two 14 LTX DX s and a 14 doo 600 gade and my 15 ,the Excell sled would pull a couple of sleds in 500 ft is less than ideal drag race condition

Good to hear SISCAKIDD!!
I put 200kms (90miles) on mine yesterday.
I'm bone stock and running 6" & 4" carbides on the Yammy Tuners. I found I was pushing "a bit" early in the day with some fresh snow on groomed trail. By mid day I was railing!

Love the sled, and coming off of an '11 Apex XTX, the only thing I miss is the top end torque. No long lake pulls for me, so this sled is fitted perfect to me.
Headed to Cochrane this week for 4 days, and looking forward to it!!

ltx-dx is valved softer the ltx se i have no sag at all

Yes...this is why I got the DX,asked around before I laid out the cash, and most people I asked said get the DX,just so happened my dealer had two of them

What position do you have your rear at Sisca? I'm at #3, but I'm about 260lbs fully dressed.

It seemed "kinda" stiff, but the OM says #2 is for a 230lb rider. That's why I put it to #3.

The springs used are quite stout for the application. Start at setting 1 and see how it goes. They say ideally you will just bottom softly once in a while.

Watch guys saddle up to the R-Motion (current gold standard) and see how much sag they get. Then measure yours once.

My sled is different setup, but I go about 215 without gear (losing weight yay!) and run on the lowest setting and nowhere near bottoming yet.

One thing that I have seen suggested is that you can set them up staggered as well. like a 1-2 setup. Now I've seen in Doo's manual notes warning NOT to do this, but I don't believe I have ever seen this warning from YamaCat.

I am in the 1st position, but I am 220lbs with gear on,for me the rear was just right,I hit a couple of g outs and it soaked um right up,the front bottomed once on one of the g outs but it was really a hard hit so I am not gonna mess with it,I did not adjust anything,it's all just the way it came from my dealer,And I could not be happier

Have a friend with a 14 LTX that has his at 1 -2,when I rode it was just a little bit stiffer then mine ,so it is an option
