Sad to say, but here in the next week or two i'll be putting my '09 Nytro to bed until next winter. At one point (either on here or on SnoWest) I thought I saw a topic about weather to change the oil now before storing it, or to just wait until the fall and start fresh. I can see an arguement both ways so I want to see what you guys think. Also, any other tips/tricks/advise you can offer me? First sled..... Thanks!

i always change the oil in my 4strokes at the end of the season so they sit with "fresh" oil and ready to ride again, add the stabil to the fuel and run her a bit, then put the battery tender on it.
Yeah, i've got a 1100 V-Star motorcycle that I stabil and battery tend. Can't wait to fly down the road on that again!

Catch 22. Leave old oil in to sludge up, etc. OR put new in to sit all year and possibly get contaminated. I have done both but I find it really hard to leave a unit for months on end that needs maintenance. I do everything needed now and store for off season.

Not required on the 4stroke but you may if you like. If its goin into storage for many years i would suggust doin the fogging, since most of us just have it sitting 6-8 months its not as required, i tend to run the sled once a month to let it warm up and then everything stays lubricated.
