I have on 03 RX-1 with the M-10 and would like to give it to our son. My question is has anyone come up with a good way to control the throttle or somehow control the speed?
The M-10 sucks up so much power that the sled is almost like a 600 now. Thought it would make a good first sled for the kid would just like to limit the speed for awhile.
Thanks

Clamp something under the throttle lever on the handle grip so it wont go all the way to the bars. Careful tho as you dont wanna kill the heater in the hotgrip.

Do that mod at the carbs. Limit the amount the cable opens the carbs

That mod at the carbs may be tricky without activating the TORS.

Youre not going to restrict the first part of the throttle. Just the last part

If you modify the throttle, be careful that you do not set up a situation that makes it unsafe. Maybe, it is not the right sled for a kid. I would not try to teach my kids on one.

block of wood superglued under throttle flipper would work as well.

I agree bigtime on this one...
That is a lot of sled for ANYONE who has low miles under their butt...especially a kid.
Good friend brought a newbie into the picture. He's mid 20's and a really nice guy, but he bought a F8. Lot of sled for a newbie.
Good $800-$1000 (maybe more) in damage today and a busted up hand.
Hit the throttle with a gauntlet and it stuck wide open on him. Smacked a guardrail going over a bridge rolled it on concrete. Sled is looking pretty sad right now.
