Rode my sled yesterday (06 Attak) everything worked fine. Today when we left in the morning, I noticed right away that the throttle seemed to be sticking. When I would let off the throttle, the rpm's would stay up for 1 to 2 seconds before dropping to normal. It acted like the cable wasn't returning, but when we checked it seemed like it was. This went on all morning, but the rpm would always drop back down after a second or two. It was difficult to drive in the tight areas because when you would let off, wanting the weight to transfer to the skis, the engine was still reving for a second and the transfer didn't happen when you needed it. You had to anticipate the turns early so you could set up for them sooner.
We felt it was moisture inside the throttle cable and if we warmed it up, the problem would go away. The TORS only came on once all morning. The sled was drivable, but you had to be careful. We rode till noon before we got to the nearest Yamaha dealer. He had no mechanics working, but let us put it inside his shop. We pulled the headlight pod so we could get at the entire cable and warmed it up with a heat gun on low. The cable moved freely even before we started. The sled was inside the heated shop for over an hour while we checked everything over. All the snow and ice was melted off and dried up before we took it outside to try it. The sled acted the same, throttle hanging up on deceleration, almost like it had a preset time delay before it would return to idle.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this, and if so, what was the problem?

I would of thought the TORS would have came on and stayed on. That worry's me a bit.

Tors came on only once as I was running fast down a pipeline and let off the gas. I stopped and let it idle for about 30 seconds, yellow light and engine icon went out, and sled ran normally (with throttle still not returning properly).

Pulled the headlight pod, bracket, and airbox at home today, to get a closer look. Everything seems o.k. Cable is returning properly and throttle return spring snaps butterflies closed with authority. I can't find anything that would make it act the way it did.
I'm curious if the computer could have something to do with this? Possibly a sensor giving a false reading. It seems really odd that the TORS didn't shut things down every time this happened. This is what makes me think it's something other than the cable.

I had the same Exact problem with my apex gt. I ended up spraying all the moving parts of the throttle body with WD40. I also removed a little slack from the cable. I haven't had a problem since.
