Hey all, hope this is the correct place to post.
Looking at a 05 Vector with MCX turbo, timbersled suspension and a few extras and just concerned that I will be messing with it more than riding. If it wasn't a Yamaha, I wouldn't even consider it. I'm coming from a 92 Indy 500 that with regular service has never let me down. Its going to stay at the cabin full time and now looking for a little upgrade to take me higher into the trees. Still need to poke around at the lake and on trail rides when at the cabin. Maybe its too much sled, maybe im better off with something else, maybe its something I should jump on.
Price point is about 3800 CDN, seems like a good deal with the work put into it but I'm looking to you all who are running turbo sleds and your thoughts.

If your coming off an indy 500,I think it might be a little too much for you and it's probsly over 200 lbs heavier.

Thanks for the reply - yes, its a HUGE step up in power no doubt :). I've ridden some of the newer 800's but that's still no where close to this kind of power.
The weight is fine, I'm not a small lad. My biggest concern is the 'driveability' of the sled. If every 2 hrs of riding need 2 hrs of messing around I'm not interested.
When I look at what else is available for the same money Im drawn to buy the vector.

Something does seem odd with the price. That is a screaming deal.

If it is properly set up & runs right now, you are probably ok.
If it doesnt, stay away.
Carbed , boosted sleds are a lot harder to tune than Fuelies where you can easly adjust the fuel with a controller.
A leak down test is a must before buying. Engine could be hurt & the extra power will mask it.
