Tool Kit Won't Stay

I carry the took kit a small knife, rope and the user manual. I need to find a good durable flash light.

Durable flashlight = Maglite

I have used these for years, have then ran over and stepped on, dropped off docks in 10 ft of water "still on", and they are still perfect. Best flashlights ever and made from metal, not plastic. Not sure if its aluminum or stainless steel, but very tough, and I think its anodized, which makes it seem like its aluminum. Only thing ever had to change was a few bulbs after they burn out, and they come with a spare one.

Sorry if I sound a little too pumped about these flaslights, just a good product, lol

I use a small LED flashlight, and keep it in the inside pocket of my jacket.

You guys mustn't carry much...between tools (for buddies sleds), tow strap (for buddy's sleds), 50 foot rope for that rare nasty dig-out situation, small first aid kit, extra pair of dry gloves and maybe gauntlets if I'm suspecting very cold temps, extra dry face mask...I could go on...

My trunk is always jammed full...no room for anything to open up in there!

Only other stuff in my trunk would be a 10 ft tow rope, a 12" glow stick and maybe some extra gloves if the day calls for it, Oh and my ball cap, for making pit stops, never needed anything but my cap (lol)

Bingo. I thought ALL snowombilers did this. Before LED's it was the AA mini-mags. Snowmobiling 101, no? I wouldn't want a flashlight in my trunk either....inconvienent, batteries freeze, gets knocked all around, and will get forgotten until it's needed whic is when you find the batteries are dead anyway...

I carry a smal rechargable led flashlight in my coat pocket. $10.00-$15.00 and can recharge it in the truck or on the sled.
