All four of the main companies have the same thing, you spend 10000 on a sled and they give you a $ 1 set of tools. I wouldn't put anything in with them, keep your reg. with you.

A Crown Royal bottle bag works good. Put your tools in it fold over and tie it. If you dont drink Crown I can help you with that. Good Luck.

I second the motion on the not needing tools thing, but I still carry the crappy disintegrating bag of tin-foil tools that Red Green couldn't use! You never know when you may need to lend a hand with someone elses 'off brand' machine. J/K, but if any of you have daughters, have them find you a small, zippered bag (purse...) to keep your tools in.
My 6 year old has a pretty cool black one that the next time she's not looking......LOL LOL!!!
(I'll have to add a TY patch to it though....)

Tools are not always needed for repairs....how about making adjustments?

Oh I thought mine was the only one that had a vinyl bomb go off in the storage pouch after the first ride.

There are some very helpful tools. Track tension, limiter starps, transfer rods, shock springs, rear spring preload...there are tools for all of these adjusments in your kit.

The tool needed to change the torsion springs is kind of a PITA to use. I didn't really have a problem getting it on, it was getting it off that was the problem. Obviously they are 'on the trail' tools, so I can't complain too much.

My vinyl bag self-destructed on my second ride. Complete POS. I was a bit disappointed in that most everyone touts Yamaha's attention to detail and quality. To me, this was more of a Polaris or Arctic Cat experience.

I pack and wrap the pouch with clean shop rags just incase I needed the rags for a trail side repair. Plus I wrap my air pump with the rags also. Nothing shakes in My bag when I clip it under the hood. Seems to work so far. I had one box end wrench poke a hole in the plastic bag but for the most part Mine is about 95% intact.
I always thought the nose cone tool box of the RX-1 was cool. I used to keep tow strap and different tools and rags in that thing. I thought it was pretty efficent.

Isnt the idea of te zip lock style zipper to keep it sealed up? Even a small hole in the bag defeates the purpose IMO.....Superman said:I pack and wrap the pouch with clean shop rags just incase I needed the rags for a trail side repair. Your right. A ziplock is not a very good idea.
