Top end?

Stretched an RTX to 144" tip up. 144 1.450 double back studs,1.25 predator track, 23 top gear,exhaust, full syn. oils, wahls bros no-slip drivers ,everything tuned and ready to go. What do you think ill see for top end? ballpark? Or how much of a loss will i see if any. I was running a 121 ripjunk before.

You will probaly go down to 105 mph maybe top out at 110 mph at the best.

I am thinking 7-10 mph lower than it ran before. 2-3 from the drivers, 5-7 from the track. I would have stuck with the 22 top gear you had in there for the 144". You might have to look into clutch kit to get your accel back.

His is an 06 RTX, I think it has a 24 stock so he actually went down a tooth. Correct me if Im wrong but I don't think they started gearing down the RTX until 07....

I agree with TTARIO you should go with a 22 gear.How many Driver Teeth is there and what is your driver pitch did you keep the stock pitch.
Is your bottom gear a stock 38.Let me know this info and I will tell you the speed you should get if you are clutch right.I have a Snowmobile MPH/Gearing Calculator .

I am ordering the drivers today.. Was going to run stock 9 tooth with 2.52 pitch.. Should i run 8 tooth drivers? don't want to lose more up top??

The 8 teeth with 2.52 and 22 gear will give you 96.79 MPH
The 9 teeth with 2.52 and 22 gear will give you 108.89 MPH
The 8 teeth with 2.52 and 23 gear will give you 101.84 MPH
The 9 teeth with 2.52 and 23 gear will give you 113.84MPH
Now bigger the drivers more HP you need to pull them.
All this is at 10800 rpm and it is actual MPH not the dream meter...
With all the extra weight of that new track I would go with 9 teeth and 22 gear that way you dont loss to much buttom end and top end is only 5 MPH away of stock.But you will need very good hard pack snow or ice to reach that top end remember you have a lot of track to pull.

Not the same machine but my friends Prox 800 had just a regular 121 track he was up around the 115 mark . Then he transformed it to a 144 and could barely break 95 mph .
He tried grear changes ect. but could never break the 100mph.

With a 22 gear and the track you got you will rocket out of the hole and will be good for 1500ft at least,and if your transfer settings are right on and your rpm keeps steddy at 10800 you will win the ......

Thanks guys.. Will I need a new chain if i gear down one more tooth on top to 22? it's a stock 06 rtx bottom gear.
