Hi All,
Did a top speed run the other day with my boosted winder with Stock gears and boy she rolls. I got 126 mph gps in a hurry but ran out of gears she was definitely still pulling. Cat speedo was pretty accurate as that read 127mph. I have done the following mods. My one complaint is the suspension seems to want to load and unload which make it tricky and unsafe at high speeds. (Any Suggestions?)
2018 Sidewinder Ltx Le
Rpm at full shift out 9000-9100
D&D 255 Flash
D&D clutch kit
D&D Pipe Mod
D&D CAI
192 1.63 Lake race studs

Not sure I understand unload and load! That is awesome speeds,i think I shot myself in the foot, when I added the 22 top,for my area,i have not found any good ice to run on,and the ice/snow I did run on was bumpy as heck, from warm meltdown and refreeze and light snow over it,my best gps speed so far is 117 at 8000 rpms,my tune wants 8900-9150 but that day all it would do with my heavy clutching was 8000,things have changed and it now will run 9100 but only soft snow now,and it struggles to reach 111 gps on 2-4" snow with 22 top. This is EVO stage 4 and sandale 3" and CAI on 17 SW LTX-LE 137 144 1.45 studs,as I removed 48 from my 192 that I had,it would not hook up any better with 192 so why carry that added weight if I get no return on it. Your top speed is very impressive though. CongratesHi All,

I can say it does not hook very well even with 1.63 lake racers not sure your going to hook well with this kind of power unless your running chisels!! The conditions we ran in was a perfect flat and fast pond with no snow cover.
Never Satisfied

That’s a good run with that flash. I’ve seen 126 with my Hurricane 240 race flash and 122-124 several times on hardpack.

I noticed a big speed difference depending on the trail snow.
126 GPS is very impressive Derek.
I am not sure that I could run on pure ice with my prestudded Ice attack track, but it does really good on any hard packed snow trails.
On fresh groomed trails with a couple inches of powder it has a tough time pulling 114 on speedo. But yet I found a spot where the freshly groomed trail had about 1 - 1.5” of sticky snow that froze later on that afternoon, and was able to pull 125 on speedo. Needed more room to run it out for sure.
Mine has a TD 245 tune with Woodys clutch and stock muffler mod.
Have only managed a bit under 500 miles so far this season, but getting 13 mpg average, ( more or less depending on conditions) and still on last years second belt which now has 800 miles on it.
More testing and riding coming up with a planned long weekend for me.

So dennis,it seems you now have your tune running very good,if you have seen 125 speedo,i would say very good, milage seems close to mine, between 13-16 14 plus seems to be average now,1800 miles on it,that is between two belts, both stock 8jp have not lost a belt yet,and hope I don't,we have plenty of snow up in patten, and another foot coming down now, should be awesome.I noticed a big speed difference depending on the trail snow.

Snowbeast, Evo stage 4 is how much power? Clutching must be dialed in. Nice.

Well I guess on there site states 255hp but add sandale 3" and CAI and allen states closer to 270hp I have not confermed that on dyno yet.My clutching has been a sad combination of efforts from my driver last year to myself this year, allen as always is top notch, and sends stuff detailed to work. In my case this sled is new to me this year, because of my misfortune last year,so I have not had enough time to test, because of now being retired and broke lol at least until I start getting my retirement check and SS check ha ha,hope they come through soon, before snow and cold is gone, every time which is now only been twice up to camp,it was ride it as it is lol,i do now have 3 helix,s to work with, and 4 secondary springs too, plus a sortment of primary springs, but only one set of ramps for now,stm 60ys,my target rpm from allen is 8900-9150,i guess up in the hills where EVO built the tune it ranges from 9150-9400 but I can tell ya when I had the stm 38 on and stock yellow spring at 60 it had so much midrange, was crazy, but no real top end, only 117 gps at 8000 which is at least 800-1000 low,it is now a work in progress,at least now with my new boost gauge on and working fine,i can see max boost, something before I was not sure I was getting. I only have 300 Miles on the sled right now. They are lake burners for sure. I know I could run it out to 130 gps with a 22 gear but I think I will leave it alone. I like the way it responds on the trails now and just love the over all performance and reliability, and handling of this sled!! No more mods I just need to leave it alone and enjoy it.

I didn't take a distance to when I ran out of gear. That would have been good to know. I do have cones and a walk off wheel next time!!What distance are you guys topping out at?

Evo stage 4 is 14.5psi boost. I ran the evo stage 3 last year. Would see 126gps and speedo 129 on a little hardpack snow on ice. On the grade snow would run 120gps. This was a 129 with a 22 gear. Not sure on distance 1500 t0 1700' probably.Snowbeast, Evo stage 4 is how much power? Clutching must be dialed in. Nice.

Ya,they told me 14.9 but on my koso gauge its a steady 2psi past that number around 17 to 17.5 nospro told me his overboosts by 1.5 to 2 as well, all I wanted to see was anything past 15,so I knew I was at least getting full boost, and not having boost leak problems,at any rate it pulls some hard at whatever psi it is,it just has trouble top ending on snow past 110 gps.Evo stage 4 is 14.5psi boost. I ran the evo stage 3 last year. Would see 126gps and speedo 129 on a little hardpack snow on ice. On the grade snow would run 120gps. This was a 129 with a 22 gear. Not sure on distance 1500 t0 1700' probably.
