Ok im now without a sled, sold the ZR 900 today and im now ready to buy this week and think will look at two sleds that are priced about the same and have around 2000 miles on them . The rtx is a 4+ hour drive away and the apex er is only about 1 hour + away from home. The apex er does come with a cover , tank bag.
Both have no studs.
Im have slowed down a bit as a rider and do ride on both tight and wide open trails. Im not a ditch banger or off trail rider but some of trails do get rough about 30 % of the time.
Does the RTX corner better ? Less inside ski lift ? Any thoughts ?

Are you looking at new or used.
The er has an ajustable shock on the tunnel. I like to beable to ajust with out renches.
The 06 rtx had the same ajustment.
The 07 and up rtx changed to a different rear suspention.

I would say that if you're a semi aggressive trail rider I would go with the er. I have an 07 nytro with the same skid as the rtx and my next will be most likely a Vector ltx with the mono. The rtx would be most appropriate for pounding the rough trails which by the sound of it you won't be doing a lot of.

The er models are nice...but you might want to look into a stiffer shock. The mono would defantly be the way to go if all your doing is trail riding and a little bumps here and there.
The RTX ('07-'09) models also have a great ride when driven in moguls. Its defantly not a ditch banger, but is designed for moguls and rougher stuff.
I would say you would like the Apex ER...my 2 cents
Also, the Suspension also is affected by your body weight, thats why kevin was wondering. If you weight over 250 or so I'd say you might want to consider an RTX. Thats if you dont want to do anything shock/spring upgrades on the mono.

The kind of riding it sounds like you do, I would definately go with the ER. If the RTX is a 2006 you would also be happy with that, but if it is a 2007 or newer RTX, you will be unhappy with the ride, they are very stiff. my .02

I never liked the ride of my RTX skid.
At your weight you can go with the mono and get it set up to your liking. Even in the rough stuff you should be fine.
However some great things are being said about the revalve in that skid. My is less than you and loves her 136 mono skid. She can keep up with me in the roughest of stuff.

ER, defiantly. I also believe that you are light enough where you would not have to change the rear spring. I weigh 200, without gear, and when I owned an ER, I had to go to the heavier spring. One other caveat with that mono suspension. Be careful when trying to adjust it with the dial when the skid is loaded with ice. We had 3 cables snap due to ice in the boot.

Go "ER" for your style of riding specialy you riding the type of trails and lakes we have up here...you might even consider a 136" I myself wouldn't go back to 121" for trail riding and high speed 136" is un-beatable for sturdiness...a well set-up MONO is hard to beat.
Your avatar seems to say your from "La belle province" call Robert Verroneau/STAR SUSPENSION from Coaticook and he'll set you up real good, here's his #819-849-7858
Good luck

I love it. the ride is so stable. just got in from a short ride with buddies with an 06 nytro, and modded Doo rev
this thing rides way better, hadles the bumps better and feels VERY SAVE at any speeds, all three of us rideres agreed.
we all traded and road each

i had an er and traded it for the rtx the er was
a smoother ride and had more top end but
when it would get bumped up,id bottom out alot
i weigh about 240 w/ gear on.
ive been playin with the suspenion so its hard to say witch one had more ski lift.the er didnt corner as well.in the tight stuff, even guyz that are better riders then me, have a hard time keeping up .
the rtx is a stiffer ride but more agile and i like
the torque.in the bumps,u could whack the thottle and picks the nose up easier than the ER.me personally like my o7 rtx better than my 06 er.
hope i helped.
