Tested my TORS as per the instructions in the owners manual and it seemed to work, i.e. the RPMs were limited. But then it showed code 84 and the warning light was on. Does that mean the TORS is not functioning properly? The code went away when I shut it off and restarted.
thanks,
thanks,

T.O.R.S. can be an on again and off again thing. One area that can affect it is by moving the throttle block to a new adjustment ever so slightly. My sled was so bad that , in addition, the throttle position sensor and the ignitor had to be replaced after my third trip to my dealer. T.O.R.S. can be extremely dangerous if not corrected like crossing a busy highway and having your sled suddenly stop.

I think the following is what caused the code - Page 15 of the Phazer Manual states that "When the TORS is activated, the warning light and self-diagnosis warning indicator will flash, and the two-digit code "84" will flash ...."BombaPolaYama said:Tested my TORS as per the instructions in the owners manual and it seemed to work, i.e. the RPMs were limited. thanks,
So I guess by testing it, it is being activated and showing that it is working.
