What does the pitch size describe in a track. For example a Camo 9854 track is 121X15X1.25 with a pitch size of 2.52. I don't get it.

While I am on the topic. Does the 9854 track have "fingers" on them?

Thanks. Eskimo

Eskimo, the 9854 is a finger track but with a rubber paddle connecting the fingers; unlike the stock track where the fingers were independent of each other and were prone to rip or tear off. When I had my stock track warrantied, they replaced it with the 9854. I thought it was going to be a nice 1.25" track but when I saw it in person, I did not like the design. Only the finger tips measure 1.25". The rubber paddles that connects the fingers are only 1". IMO, I think that .25" tip will be prone to the same rips and tears as the stock track fingers. Plus it was heavier than stock. I ended up contacting Bruce at Tracks USA and upgraded to the 9818. When I asked Bruce about this track, he stated it was a good trail track but does rob MPH.

Actually the internal drive lugs, but the track clips are spaced at the same distance on center.

The only sled made recently that has a different drive pitch is the Arctic Cat 1M with the 162" track. I do not recall what the pitch is, but it is different.
