My summer project is going to be stretching my 07 rtx 121" to 136" with probally a tracks usa kit. A couple questions for guys that have done it. Do you think i should leave stock top gear in or should i go taller like the attacks have. I dont want to loose the hard pull, but also dont want to lose too much top-end.On these kits is there any cutting involved on the tunnel, or is it all drilling and rivets. And last, I'm a little concerned with the drive axel problems guys are having. Should i replace with an updated driver or aftermarket one. thanks for any input.

did a shorty rx a few years ago, and it was very easy. I wouldn't bother changin gears. Seems fine just the way it is. Biggest trouble I had and still have is the rail ext seems a bit long, making the skid harder to get in and out. Also the track adjustment is all the way to the end threads. I love the traction out of the hole!

You should get more pull if you drop the top gear down to the 23. You will only lose about 3mph on the top end but you will more then likely show more top end speed. Because of the add hookup.

I used parts from Tom Hartmann he makes good parts and low cost I would check with him before TracksUSA.

Rail Extensions

Here's another option for you on the rail extensions:

The OFT Racing extensions feature the XTX style 6 degree tip up and full length Hyfax. They also use the external, rearward facing track tensioners. Complete kits come with a Hartman tunnel extension. You only need to get a track and longer Hyfax.

thanks for the info everyone. Now I'm not sure what size sproket i have on top. I take it if i have a 22 than the attacks had a 23 or 24. If i go up a tooth will my stock chain still be able to be used. I would like to find out before i start tearing into chaincase. Does anyone know whats on rtx and attack in 07 for gears. thanks
