Track for boosted trail sled

I ride trails that much more frequently are icy in the corners than deep with snow.
That's why I think I like studs

It doesn't sound like you ride that different of conditions to what I ride in the U.P., btu I do know how the trails can get pretty sketchy.
One other idea to consider, since you're comparing your sled to the Doo..
They're two totally different machines, and unless you are both running the same exact track, riding at the same running weight, etc, it's somewhat hard to get an accurate comparison.
Swapping tracks seems like an easy solution, but no matter what you choose, there's always going to be a compromise. I personally think that studs will hurt your top end, which is partly one reason why I don't run them.
That being said, it sounds to me if you are having a traction issue off the line but catching your buddy on the top end, I wouldn't necessarilly want to jump to adding studs to improve bottom end only to sacrifice top end? I could be wrong, but I think you might end up nearly the same at the end of the race.
Given the stuff you have done to your sled already, I would say that if you are just losing traction on the bottom end, but otherwise ok with how it hooks up, I would either try even going one tooth more on your top gear (or down on bottom), faster upshifting on your clutching, play with your transfer settings, etc, etc..
If you're spinning down low but pulling ok on the top end, I'd say to do something to "lug" the motor a little more down low before messing with the clutching.
