Thats the distance the driver teeth and drives on track are apart. You can use it to figure out how many bars are in track,final ratio and needed for getting a track that fits.

Didn't know you needed to know the track pitch for stud purchases. I've always needed to know lug depth only....

Sure if you know the pitch and the length you can figure out how many bars there is so you know how many studs to get.

Basically

RTX 129" / 2.86 = 45 windows for studs
LTX 137" / 2.86 = 48 windows for studs
XTX 141" / 3.0 = 47 windows for studs
