Sorry for asking the same question that many people have probably asked already , but before everyone disappears for the summer ,I need some feedback from people who have had both the 1 inch hacksaw and the cobra track on there apex (attak). I need to put a new track on my Attak this summer and want the best possible for my riding style. (groomed trails, short drags, that I don't want to lose, not too much ice and hardly any lakes). If I was too use the hacksaw, then it would be studded. If I use the cobra, probably no studs. I know from experience that the cobra has good traction in most snow conditions , but is the hacksaw better. My worst thought is if I run someone (which I love to do) and I lose, I don't want to be thinking "I should have bought that other track" So if anyone has any feedback, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks again for all the help here TY

This boils down to whether you ever go off trail of not. If you play in the powder the Cobra will be king. If you only trail ride than a Hacksaw with studs will probably provide more traction and better top end. I list 5 MPH with my Cobra but to me it was worth it for the amount of traction it had over the stock ripsaw.

You are not going to win a "Short Drag " with a Hacksaw unless you are on ice with Chisels.
It is a lake racing / radar run track. Not worth a crap in Snow for drag racing.
I have one on my Turbo. It works for me with What I want it to do but I do not "short drag" race it.
In all honesty I would suggest a studded Ripsaw for what you want to accomplish or a studded Cobra if you are willing to give up a little top end. [ or one of those pre mini studded Ripsaws (Ice Ripper?)]

Yes it would be nice to get the most top end ,but honestly, buy the time you are at 100mph you usually know who is faster. Do studs on a cobra really make much difference or is it just alot of added weight for when ever you hit ice patches. Like I say I know the cobra works great off the line, but I didn't know if the hacksaw would match it or even be better.
