Hi i was wondering what you guys thought on the track that is on the fx nytro. I was thinking of taking off the 1 1/4 and puting on a 1 inch with 192 studs. I mainly trail ride but when ever we see a open field or lake we get on and play!! Would i gain alot out on the hole and loose top end or gain top end. i know the studs are heavy. Just wondering your opinion. thanks

Stick with the Ripsaw, it is a great trail track and you can still stud. I don't see the benefit of going down to a one inch track except to maybe gain top-speed. The Nytro is more of a ditch banger or corner to corner sled than a top-speed machine anyways.

The one inch track will also hurt your off-trail/loose snow performance.

On a Nytro a 1-inch track would be great for digging trenches. I think you’d increase your mileage by 20% just from the track spinning. The 1.25" Ripsaw hooks up and throws the sled forward in a wide range of conditions.

I'm not a fan filling the track with too many studs. Unless you're riding exclusively on ice 192 seems like serious overkill and it's a huge load on your track at speed.

Studs won’t provide any significant benefit on decent snow. However, they are good for keeping the rear of the sled behind you in icy corners and for stopping and restarting at road crossings. In my opinion 96 -112 down the middle of a 121" track is plenty. It's enough to bite into unexpected ice but not overpower your skis.

I’ve run 96 studs on my Skidoos but I ran without studs on the Nytro last year, even though I bought a set, and never missed them.

Keep the Rip saw, Run 96 1.375" Double backers down the center and You will love the sled! You really do not need more studs than that unless you are racing.

The Ripsaw is the biggest POS track ever made. If you want to go to a 1 inch go with the 9830. It's a great track. i had one on my RX-1. If you want to stay with a 1.25 go with a Cobra and put 144 1.45 woody's down the middle.

The Ripsaw is hardly a great track. it's sucks in every type of snow but hard packed groomed trails!!
