will the grass cause a track to hook better thus making it ratchet more than If in snow? Just curious if I should run it to spec then check once it snows. Tested it in yard and was being hard on it and could feel it

Yup, you'll get better traction on grass

Yeah you'll get better traction on grass and if you have studs you wont have any track spin on grass.
