I'm currently having trouble with my track skipping on my 2008 nytro. It has been skipping every once in a while until Saturday. I had to change my belt on Saturday and it seems like the sled is skipping more often and a lot worse now. Any suggestions that will help.
Did you try adjusting the track tension?

Is it the same pitch on the new track as on the old?

Check track tension and check track for damage. Check driveshaft bearings. Also could be chain skipping so check chain tension and jackshaft bearings also. Check drivers for wear or damage.

track tension is probably too loose. Look things over like suggested above. I would also add you want no more than 3 inches of slack in the track at the widest section between track and hyfax.

I don't think so , tight really is faster 2009 XTX. 22 lbs at 1.180 seems fast

I read in another thread somewhere proper tension is faster than a little loose. I might try a little tighter.

Little loose maybe a better whole shoot , I asked some people on here what they were running I got a bunch of different answers. I asked Robert at star and he told me to set it at factory specs. 22 lbs @1.180 for my sled . And that is on the loose side.
