Anyone have a easier measurement than the weight deal to get me in the ball park for track tension. Can you just pull down as hard as you can and give me a measurement? This can't be rocket science. Just installed new sliders.

I've always just set the track tension just tight enough that it doesn't ratchet on the drive wheels in deep snow. Too tight equals friction.
Good luck,

book says 22lbs. down & should measure 1.18"-1.38".
push down firm & check length if you don't have a scale.

Ahhh, the old "close enough" measurment system!

I use the ratcheting method.Set it loose. If it ratchets off a small jump go a little tighter.Probably saves hyfax a bit this way also.

Thanks for the tips guys. I just did not want to make any adjustments out on the trail the first ride of the year if it was to loose.
