Trade my '05 RX-ER for an RS Venture???

I'm thinking of getting a two-up so my wife can ride on back w/me.
I bought my '05 in December and have 850 miles on it. Dealer said he'd trade for an '05 RS Venture for $700. Reasonable?

My only concern is that the RS Venture has the 120hp 3 cylinder and I've grown pretty accustom to the RX arm stretching ;-).

Anybody own an RS Venture and an RX? How do they compare?

My wife just recently started riding. She is riding my '97 Doo Formula 500 Deluxe. We spent 3 days near Two Harbors, MN and put on close to 300 miles. Problem is, it really hurts her wrist to ride (might be a carpel tunnel issue). Plus, she doesn't really care to drive that much.

We've got both.

The Venture doesn't feel as fast and is a touch slower off the line, but isn't that much slower on top especially on snow covered lakes, the RX-1 just creeps past. The Venture has nice Torque in the trails.

If your trails aren't glass smooth though the Venture is probably one of the best sleds in the moguls i've ridden. You can take the same section of moguled trail at probably 20-30% faster speeds on the Venture. The LT is awesome and personally I think the Pro-Active works better than the monoshock.

$700 sounds like a deal, Go for it! You'll Love the Venture

I have an o5 Venture ,My buddy has an 04 RX1 I have ridden both up to 70 mph there is very little difference . After 70 he walks away on me .
I would ride his more but it is to rough for me . It is a little more work in the corners but well worth it for the ride . My only complaint is the track noise I find it annoying . Go for it you will love it .
