Trail opening in Old Forge NY???

OK I'm getting itchy to break out the Apex....Anyone know when the trails open in Old Forge - I know it's soon

are you sure about that? It was my understanding they extended hunting season so that means opening is pushed back. Haven't checked into it but that is what I heard. Could be totally wrong though, wouldn't be the 1st time and certainly not the last.......

Didn't hear that one. If its true it would be the first time NYS has ever done that.

Yes...it's true. Something like December 13th which is later than previous years. That's late for the northern tier.

Down home here, it's even later..... December 23rd !!!!!!

I was suprised when I read that because the first year I got my 2005 RS Rage, I was riding the Tug Hill the first Friday in December. Almost think it was December 3rd. Tons of snow....not flake around here lately.

here,there is no official date for the trails to open,they open when we have enough snow to groom,shouldnt it be like that everywhere,we have snow in the forecast for tomorrow,about 4'',enough to play with the radar in the fields

I think that is correct & it sounds right because the sno-deo & shootout was early last year but is on the 11th & 12th this year

Yea in Ontario it opens and closes when depending on the conditions. Still waiting for the snow though looks like by next week there will be some snow but i don't think the swamps and ponds will be frozen yet.
