I was just about to purchase a 2008 Apex LTX GT for its overall versatility when I realized we had a record level of snow this year.
Further research revealed that its off-trail performance was not good. 
Now I'm considering a 2008 Apex MTX SE but would like to know how it rides/handles on the trail.
I know everything is a trade-off, but with 70%+ of my riding long distance on-trail, I don't want to give up trailability for the limited time I'll spend off-trail.
So, is the MTX a decent trail sled?

I rode with Pro116 last year when he owned an 06 Mountain. He replaced the track with a cheapy he picked up at Haydays. It was cut down to 1.25 to help with slider wear. That being said, he was having NO trouble riding on the various trails we rode in the UP.
