When I bought my Nytro RTX I had my dealer install my trail tak before I ever rode the sled. Today I was summerizing my sled and made the mistake of taking he tank off. I also was adding more heat wrap to the tanks bottom as it was starting to melt. After three hours of trying to get the tank on Im done-I cant get it to fit. I have tried evrything rubber malllet, two friends pulling pushing etc The godam thing will not fit I can remount the stock one it fits like it should. How do you get this tank to fit in the sled?

Make sure the lines going to the fuel pump are in the grove of the tank properly. This may help. You will want the tank as much ahead as possible when installing. This will make everything line up much easier. While pushing the tank ahead, lift slightly on the front where the
breather hose is so it don't hit frame.

remove the bolts for the fram housing...one is near your reverse lever the other on opposite side....then loosen the front two...and slide tank on, and voila you are fine...

I think Mtdream has an excellent suggestion. I had a hell of a time getting my Trail Tank to fit. I eventually got it to fit but it was a chore. I didn't think about loosening the steering hoop.

I loosened the frame and had to use a ratchet strap to get it to fit.
