What do you guys carry for tools, beyond the stock tool kit, while on touring trips? I put together a small set of extra tools in a vinyl bag which I carry in the tank bag. I carry elec. tape, small roll of duct tape, cable ties, box 10, 12 and 14 MM box end wrenches, small vise grip, leatherman, allen wrenches for only the bolts on the sled, small maglite, 6 ft. of small dia. tubing for a siphon and a tow strap. Luckily, i have never needed to fix my sled but have stopped many times to help someone. I'm thinking of getting one of the tools sets made by Cruz Tools for metric motorcycles, quality package.
I only carry vise grips, a rope and band aids and hand warmers... I guess it would be smart to carry more but I never need anything..

Extra plugs in a plug caddy, hand and feet warmers(the ones you get for hunting), a lighter. My tow rope fits under my tool box with 8 plugs. On those far trips up in Canada take fire starter strips.
