Hey guys and gals. I took a spill yesterday cause of the icey conditions on the trails, which are common this time of year.

Hit a patch of ice which spun me sideways and ejected me into an ICE bank. Back is real sore today. But I'll live. My nytro has got a new set of handlebars on the way. Should have them later today.

I got real lucky. Could have been a hell of alot worse. So just a reminder, ice is not our friend! LOL!! I don't want anyone else to experience what I did yesterday! NOT FUN seeing I'm on a week vacation and had my whole week planned out for riding.

I've never ran studs before, but I will be next year.

When I pull my bars I'll take a picture to show ya.

gald your going to be fine as you said the sled can be fixed. have fun all the trails around my hose are mud now my season is done. Now its time to work on my upgrade.

Don't overlook the pre studded Ice Ripper track. It would have been perfect for avoiding your mishap.

I agree Tek vests don't totally protect you. But I would not be walking around with all the spills I have taken in racing without one. Still the best protection you can buy.

I also wear http://www.btosports.com/p/07ASTCELL even when trail riding they do a good job or protecting knees and shins and the side of your leg

Studs are the way to go. Put them in my Apex and they are great. Last weekend I was riding out your way and the trails are icy but I never noticed it with the studs. Two friends in Buchans had concussions last year after getting dumped from their sleds on ice....Glad you are OK Rowdy.

Glad to hear you're ok, RR...where'd it happen? You're "totally" right, though...the trails are very icy in spots!
