This is my first seasson with a 4stroke. I notice on my 07 Attak that under certian accelleration I get a slight engagement type of clunk from the skid. Could this clunk be from the transfer rod engaging in?

Yes, the clunking noise is perfectly normal.
Ok, thanks. Been over the skid several times now I can find nothing wrong with it.
