We had the same problems with the wiseco pins. We did in 8 bushings in our carrillos as well. When the pin tightens because they are going out of round, it causes the piston to rock really hard. If this is your issue, just about guaranteed that you will find the skirts collapsed due to this excessive rocking. We sent the rods direct to carrillo to get rebushed. They wanted to know what the #%@ we were doing to that poor motor. The rods checked out perfect, just needed bushings. Never any signs of Deto. Changed to heavier JE pins and no more problems . The wiseco pin is just fine for what it was intended, say 300 hp. The piston and pin were never intended to be put through the crap some people ask of them. Nice to here that they have updated the pins. How many other motors are even close to reliable at 8 to 9 hp per cubic inch? Hope you find something simple wrong with your motor.
