Has anyone else experienced the yamaha tunnel bag marking up tunnel. If so what have you used to protect it. 3M, plasti dip etc.

Yes, my dealer installed the Yamaha larger rear tunnel bag before I picked up my sled. Just took it off yesterday t clean the sled and found a lot of abrasions to the tunnel paint and in one spot the paint was worn down to the aluminum. Really aggravating to have an OEM product markup the tunnel finish. I found a 3M vinyl product that looks like carbon fiber (my son has many square feet of it leftover from a recent project. I was going to repaint the damaged area of the tunnel then apply the vinyl film but am just going to apply the vinyl film now. Once a season I'll replace the film to have the "good as new" look.

Mines the same, going to need to wrap the tunnel at some point.

Same here.... The tassles on the underseat bag has left 2 large circular swirls on mine..... Ive since moved them so they close off to the side but suspect that will eventually cause grief on the side...

Mine is the same. Dealer installed mine and it annoys me every time I remove the bag

Anyone thought of trying the clear 3M paint protector they use in front ends of cars and trucks?

Yep tried it , problem is the tunnel gets warm under the bag and stuff gets soft and when warm it' not very tough.

Thanks for everyone for feed back, I am going to see how well plasti dip stands up to the heat. I have on my truck decals and it has been good for years being in hot sun but without something rubbing on it. I will post the results after a ride
