Hi all yama dudes just wanting more info on the tunnel block off kits do they really work , do they cover both holes , specs and pics of one would be good since i live in canada the shipping is way to expensive to ship here esp with the canadian dollar going down down down .... thxs .. think snow :4STroke:

.040 Aluminum, just go to your local hardware store
and pick up a piece, some places will cut to fit.
Just cover the rear hole
I think mine ran me about $12 with rivots.

I just covered the rear hole and it was like night and day. Not nearly the ice build up. I have aftermarket exhaust and even on twenty to thirty degree days heat buildup was not a problem.

^^^^Like Phazed said just build your own!!

I used .060 aluminum cut to 11.25" x 25". Covered the rear opening only. Tuck the piece under the tool box. I used 9 rivets and the existing bolts that mount the tool box. Cost me $18.

I have some 1/8" thick UHMW polyethylene sheat. Do you guys think that will work or melt?? The nice thing about it is Snow will not stick to it.

Possibly might melt...the closest point in my exhaust is within 1 inch of my aluminum closure

block off kits

Hi all i need some more input on the block off kits size and the thickness and do i block off both holes ...... thxs

Just close the rear hole, it makes the biggest difference, nothing freezes up on mine anymore. Mine is the same size as above, 11.25 by 25". Just pick up a sheet of aluminum and do it yourself, its the easiest mod you can do to you sled.

Rick

I used the same size also.....i used polished stainless steel though....shows off the underside of the nice Schmidt Bros exhaust.
