Tunnel cooler hose silicone

Does this need the sealer in there around the coolant hose? I pulled the old sealer out to put in the BOP tunnel hose protectors to see how they fit and then forgot to put new sealant in and put sled back together. It's not to big of deal to take back apart but was just wondering if anyone else left the sealant out.

Probably not a big deal. Most likely you'll just get some ice buildup down the out side front of the tunnel from the snow dust melting off the hose and lying on top of the tunnel.
