2008 Custom Union Bay 980 MM Chassis
I just received my turbo blanket from PTP turbo and they are nice and seem to fit okay. My Nypex turbo setup uses a Diamond S header and is somewhat like the Impulse setup. I use the Rev fuel tank and last year I run a aluminum shield around the turbo with a heat exit spout going out to my side cover. My question is for the guys that have used these turbo blankets. When my blanket is on it is quite big and I will have to modify my heat shield to fit but the blanket will seal slightly to the inside of the shield. I still want to run my heat shield to keep away from my tank and wiring but will this burn out my blanket or not let everything breath I guess. M5 has helped me out just looking for more opinions I guess. I can post pics if needed. Thanx guys. Shad

I don't run any shields with my PTP blanket. You can almost touch the outside of the blanket after a run. My guess if you are trail riding you should still run a shield but I would worry much about it I don't think it would hurt the blanket if it touched the shield. If it's against the gas tank I would insulate the tank as it may still heat the fuel sowewhat.

Probably the smallest T3 blanket if you have a .82 A/R. Call PTP direct.
