Turbo RX issue

Hi all I was told to post here instead of at the other TY page.

Turbo rx1 bender stage 1 kit I do believe. Turbo mounted in stock muffler location

Sled idles okay-ish throttle response is crisp and revs up very well, I think I need to bump the pilot jet up a touch, very close on the edge of idling and going into the main circuit (hangs up in the rpm sometimes).

Sled will not rev past 7k. Just did exhaust donuts, sled will stall when exhaust is blocked. It sounds like it is hitting a 2 step in the way the engine is breaking up. You can hear the turbo start to spool up as its doing this. I have not checked spark plug gap, but from what I can see it is not making boost from a free rev at 7k until it starts breaking up.

Any insight? This is my first Turbo Carb engine.

You have an air leak, you need to check your carb caps or call Jannetty Racing and see if they have billet ones available as well as billet carb tees. Air leaks cause the carbs not to get the proper pressure signal when building boost.
