Guys I have been told by a credible turbo builder I dont need a gasket between the turbo and header . just use high temp silicone . Does this sound right?
I don't know about that, there's a metal gasket that usually goes between there which is formed to compress when tightened down. For 15 bucks I wouldn’t waste my time not putting it in and risking leakage and loss of boost, but that’s your choice. If they are taking about the outlet side of the turbo, then there's no pressure there and there's no need for a gasket.
